Baked and Caked

It’s a weird thing for most people to think, men wearing makeup. People are just now starting to notice men wearing makeup because men are starting to do more glamour looks. Makeup has been around for a while now, but it was looked at as more of a girl thing. Don’t let that deceive you though, because the only thing saying it’s a girl thing is our society. When people invented makeup they intended it for everyone, not just for the female population. It can help with confidence, self-esteem, and many other things people can struggle with in their life. Makeup is a very helpful coping skill for people and it shouldn’t just be for girls.

Being a man who wears makeup, people ask the question, are you Trans? Just because a man wears makeup doesn’t mean that they have to be Trans or gay you can be straight man that wears makeup. Don’t let people’s opinion make you stop doing something you love. People need to focus on themselves and not on others and how they are living their life.

If you always want to do makeup I am here to help you come out of your shell and try something that can change your life forever, makeup. You can create so many different looks with makeup and it’s just about finding what works for you. Here are some tips and tricks that can turn your looks from dull, to glam.

PRIMER

To start off the look you want to achieve is to prime your face so you don’t look like the Himalayas when you remove it later. Primer is to help protect those pores from the rest of the makeup, so you don’t breakout and wanting to cry yourself to sleep because of them awful pimples.

FOUNDATION

It’s very important to make sure you have a foundation that matches your skin tone and it’s not too dark or to light for your skin. If you have a foundation that’s not the right color than it can make your head look very disconnect from the rest of your body and you don’t want that. You should also have a high coverage foundation to help give your skin that very smooth effect.

CONCEALER

The next step that you should do is concealer, concealer is a very important step in makeup no matter what “look” you are trying to achieve. It helps to give your face dimension so it’s not just one color and flat. Concealer comes in many different colors and shades, but I would recommend something in a lighter shade so you can get the snatched effect. You should draw under the eyes on your forehead and on your chin to give your face a much defined look.

POWDER

After you had concealed those imperfections next is to powder that makeup so it will stay all day. Powder is a key in the makeup world it helps you bake and creates depth in your face so you don’t look so flat. If you don’t set you foundation and concealer with powder than your makeup will move during your day causing you to look like a goblin and we don’t want that. Another thing to note is that you don’t want to put too much powder on because then you will have flashback and that looks disgusting, and there is nothing worst then taking a picture and looking like a damn ghost.

BRONZER

Bronzer helps define your face and give it color so you don’t look like Casper the friendly ghost. Apply this on the cheek areas and on the forehead corners. Bronzing helps give you that summer glow without even trying, which is why it’s one of my favorite makeup products. Make sure though that you don’t use too much because if you do then you might look like an orange when you’re done.

CONTOUR

After you had bronze your face successfully then it’s time for you to contour your face and fool the human eye with those cheek bones. Places most people like to contour is their cheek bones, nose, and forehead. Contouring helps make your face looks as same as possible without having to go through any surgeries or things like that. If you want to you can bake your face with some more powder to make your face even more snatch that it’s already is.

BROWS

After you have your face baking at 350 degrees I would have bronze that face. It’s time for you to do them brows. Depending on how thick your brows are depends on how much you might need to fill them in. The first thing that you need to do is create a shape that you want for your brow. Some want an extra defined brow with a huge arch, some just want a nice fill in because you already have a nice defined brow.

EYES

After your brows are nice and defined I would move right to the eyes because they are the window to the soul. A key factor in makeup is to make sure you blend, otherwise it will look like a sad mess on your face. You also need to pick a colors that bring out your beauty, because that what makeup id for, it’s to bring out your natural beauty.

HIGHLIGHTER

The next thing to do is highlight your face for the GODS. This is to give you a shine and enhance your features (like your cheekbones, and forehead). It helps give your face a nice shine and make your faces shine like a star. Apply this to your cheekbones (above those contour cheeks), slightly above the brows, and on the bridge of your nose.

SETTING SPRAY

To finish this makeup look of is to set it with SETTING SPRAY!!!! If you don’t use this gift from the gods, then at the end of the day your makeup might look a little droopy. Being humans we sweat, which mean that if you don’t set your face then the sweat will just destroy all that hard work and dedication you spent to get SNATCHED.

Makeup is for everyone, not just for girls. People will tell you that it is, but they are lying to you and you need to smack them in their face. Just remember that our past presidents wore makeup and they look like they were ready to walk down that red carpet. People will also try to get you down, and make you feel like you are the dirt on the bottom of their shoe if you are in anyway a little different from them. Don’t ever forget that I’m here for anyone who needs someone to talk to or do them brows, but think of me as your Gay Fairy Godmother, who knows how to rock a look.
