How long have you been at East?

“By the time I retire in June, it’ll be 34 years. That’s more than twice my age.”

Tell me about your past jobs

“I worked at Broadlawns psychiatric and I was also a travel agent before that and loved both. I started here when my son started school.”

What’s your favorite part of being here?

“I’ve loved working with the people, all of the staff.”

What do you plan on doing after you retire?

“My goal is to spend more time with my extended family, my brothers and my father. Right now, I don’t get to see them often, but I hope to change that.”

Tell me about your hobbies

“I love to read and travel. I have two trips planned already, one in August and one in September.”

Tell me about your family

“My husband has worked at his job for 38 years and he is going to work one more year before he retires. I have one son and two beautiful grandchildren. My son attended North and it worked out very well.”

Tell me something interesting about you

“I grew up as a little Iowa farm girl and I loved it. I feel bad my son never got the opportunity to go horseback riding or chase calves.”
