Under the Friday night lights, the energy from the game doesn’t just come from the players on the field-it comes from the stands, where the leaders of the student section set the tone. To the rallying chants organizing themes, they’re the heartbeat of school spirit, making sure every cheer echo across the field and every play feels bigger than the scoreboard. Meet your 2026 Tribe members.
Laila Fisher- I’m involved in Student Government, Yearbook, Scarlet Squad, Tribe, and Track. I like to be loud and energetic, and I always thought it would be fun after watching the seniors do it. The Lincoln game will definitely be entertaining—just like the North and Roosevelt games, especially when we started scoring more at the end. Being a Scarlet means coming together and working as a team to reach our goals.
Eliza Berglund-I’m involved in Tribe, Varsity Swim, Varsity Golf, Yearbook, Newspaper, and National Honor Society. I wanted to be a student section leader to make everyone feel included and excited to support our teams. The Roosevelt game was the most entertaining because the student section brought great energy, and we made a strong comeback. Being a Scarlet means being part of a welcoming community that supports each other and has fun together.
Daffney Bolander-I’m involved in Yearbook, Student Government, Upward Bound, Scarlet Squad, Tribe, and Track. I love being in the student section and thought it would be fun to help lead it. Our first game was the best because so many people came, and everyone was excited. Being a Scarlet means showing school spirit, building community, and being surrounded by great people. Lohna Hernandez-Howard- I’m involved in Yearbook, Softball, Track, and Tribe. I wanted to be a Tribe leader because I love getting people involved and seeing everyone excited to support our school. The most entertaining game was our home game against Roosevelt— even though we lost, we never gave up and kept fighting until the end. The student section was amazing that day. Being a Scarlet means showing up, showing pride, and proving that East is better than people think.

I’m involved in Tribe, Varsity Basketball, and Yearbook. I wanted to be a Tribe leader because of the people and the community—and because I have a loud voice that helps bring energy. The most entertaining game so far was the Roosevelt game since it had the highest score and an amazing atmosphere. Being a Scarlet means coming together as one community.
Santiago Meza
I’m involved in Baseball, Tribe, and Track. I wanted to be a Tribe leader because I feel like I’m a great role model. The most entertaining games were Roosevelt vs. East and Southeast Polk vs. East since both were great matchups. Being a Scarlet means staying involved and showing pride in East.
