East High School senior Salyna Chanthabouasy, ready to graduate said “I officially decided what I wanted to do, What I’m going to do is attended mercy college for 2 years studying to be a sonographer.” Salyna wants to be an ultrasound tech because she has always wanted to do something in the medical field that also involves technology and hands on, it is a field that often only a two-year degree.
She loves making memories with people and being social. Salyna played volleyball and ran track for east for the fun of it and to expand her high school experience and loved making the memoires with the team and having relationships out of the sport.
The beginning of the pandemic which was also the beginning of salynas freshman year made Salynas social and academic life a little bit of a struggle, but then once she got into high school with not being online helped her meet many new people and become better at her education and taking it more seriously.
