Now that the world is starting to get back on track and with the new school year, people are wondering how to make the most out of their high school experience. High school can be a rough time, but it’s important to keep up with a positive attitude and get yourself involved to make new friends, explore and embrace your interests and hobbies, here is how to make the best out of your high school experience.
“My favorite memory of going to East High School is meeting all of my best friends,” senior Hayleigh Partelow said.
Finding your crowd and your type of people is a really good way to enjoy your day-to-day experience in high school, but sometimes finding those right people and making friends can be hard and a struggle. A couple of ways to help you find the right people is to join a club. Clubs are a good way to help bring together a group of people who share a common interest, so you can enjoy your hobbies and find people with things in common with you. It’s a 2 in 1.
“My favorite sports games to go to are our football games, I love the themes we have,” junior Natalie Krewer-Luchman said.
The community at East High school really shines when everybody comes together to create amazing themes, fun tailgates and awesome performances on the field. East’s sports teams not only bring everyone closer together but create a family. Sports are a great way to get your exercise in, find a new hobby and meet some amazing people. Off the field you can see everyone enjoying their time in the stands and on the field, you can watch the teams come together to try and win. East doesn’t just offer football, east also offers basketball, soccer, volleyball, and more.
“Although I love many of our classes, our art classes are my favorite,” senior Daisy Serrano said.
A big part of high school is making memories and having a lifetime of experiences, that also includes enjoying your high school classes, because nobody wants to take classes they don’t like or aren’t interested in. Challenging yourself into growing your mind and intelligence is a very important part.
“I think for people who tap into their creative side more they would enjoy our many art and theater classes and for people who are more logical and enjoy things like writing and reading, our history classes would best fit them,” Serrano said.
East offers more than just art and history, they also offer finance, health and foods classes, woods and metal working classes, etc. East has a class for everybody where they can fit in and enjoy their time here at East.
