Swimmer, theatre crew, boy’s swim manager, national honor society member, IHSSA & IHSSA Rise participant, and East High School class of 2026 valedictorian. These are all activities and sports that senior, Delaney Hayworth is involved in. She is a very accomplished individual and is very proud and elated to be the valedictorian for this year’s class.

Hayworth has always enjoyed learning and strives to do her best in all things that she participates in.
“My advice for underclassmen would be to try things. There are so many things you’ll never learn about yourself, so many people you’ll never meet, if you dont ever get out of your comfort zone and try new things.” Hayworth said.
The most fulfilling experiences she’s had in high school have been from things she would’ve never seen herself doing four years ago.
“I am proud to say I’ve always given it my all.” Hayworth said.
She is extremely proud and excited to say that she is going to attend Grinnell College and double major in physics and theatre.
