You hear from a friend about a musical your school is doing after school, you want to go see it because you’ve heard about the musical, but you haven’t seen it yet. During the weekend, you go to the school with your friend, you both pay and go into the auditorium to find a place to sit. Once the show starts, you notice one specific person who is one of the main characters, and they stand out because they have bright colored hair. You start to wonder: Beyond musical theatre, who is this person? This specific person is Silas Mickle.

Mickle would describe his family as strong, welcoming, friendly, and sweet. He lives with his mom and dad with his grandparents in the house right next door. He also has an older brother who lives close by in his own house. His whole family lives in Des Moines and they are a very close family. His mom is a hairdresser, and his dad is a welder. His family loves to get together for the holidays and they love to spend quality time with each other.

Mickle got into theatre during covid in 2020 from watching videos and clips of musicals on the internet. During his time at East High School, Mickle has performed in the SpongeBob musical, the Puffs play, and the Addams family musical. His favorite musical he’s done at East High School was the Addams Family. His favorite thing about musical theater is the friends he has made, and his least favorite thing about musical theater is that he is going to miss his friends after graduating.

Mickle loves to dye his hair; he usually dyes his hair about every three months, or just when the color starts to fade or grow out. He has dyed his hair colors such as red, orange, green, blue, purple, pink, blonde, and black. His favorite hair color hes had is green.
His favorite thing about being a senior is feeling like a role model and being helpful to the lowerclassmen. His least favorite thing about being a senior is having to leave behind his friends after graduation, and the future being unknown.
